Terms & Conditions

At 540 on Great South we want you to have a safe and enjoyable time with us.  We do have a number of policies and other collateral that you may find useful and should be aware of:

Booking Terms & Conditions

• Check in time is 1400hrs and check out is 1000hrs
• Check in or check out outside these times is subject to availability and subject to additional charges
• Reservations must be guaranteed with a credit card.  This will not be charged when making a booking but will secure the reservation
• Bookings cancelled within 24hrs of the day of arrival are subject to a cancellation fee of one night’s accommodation
• Reservation dates can be changed within 48hrs of check in but changing dates are subject to availability and rate change during peak periods
• In the case of a no-show, a fee of one night’s accommodation will be charged to your credit card for each room booked
• Bookings not secured with a credit card are subject to cancellation by 6pm on day of arrival

Cash Policy

• Full accommodation payment is required upon check in
• A bond of $200 per night is required for any incidental charges incurred during your stay
• Photo ID (Driver’s Licence or Passport) must be presented on Check-In
• The room will be checked prior to departure
• Should there be no incidental charges, the bond will be returned in full on departure

Smoking Policy

540 on Great South is proudly a non smoking facility. Should you wish to smoke, we ask that you do so outside of the building.  All rooms are fitted with smoke and fire alarms which will detect cigarette smoke.  Should you smoke in the room, there will be an additional charge for cleaning of $150 per room.

Guest Visitor Policy

Guests must meet visitors in reception and accompany them to their suite.  Our staff will advise you of visitor arrivals however due to security reasons, we will not allow visitors unaccompanied access to the rooms.

The maximum number of visitors permitted in a suite between the hours of 10pm and 7am is two people.

No Party/Noise Policy

540 on Great South will not accept a reservation when the intent is to have a party or function.

If we become aware that a party is planned or in progress, or should excessive noise disturb other guests, immediate notification will be given to the guest  concerned that 540 on Great South has a no party policy and out of respect to other guests, excessive noise is not permitted and must cease immediately. Should this noise continue and disturb others, guests in the suite will be asked to vacate the property with no refund in accommodation charges the room. Any other guests participating in the party will also be asked to vacate the property immediately.

Child Policy

Children under the age of 18 are not permitted to stay at 540 on Great South unless supervised by a parent or guardian. There are no additional charges to the room rate for children.

Left Luggage Policy

540 on Great South is happy to store your luggage for a maximum of 24 hours. While best endeavours are made to ensure the safety of your property, we take no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to luggage while in our care.

Loss or theft of Guest property

While best endeavours are made to ensure the safety of your property during your stay with us, 540 on Great South takes no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to guest property.  Security measures are in place to ensure the safety of guests and their property and we encourage guests not to leave valuable items in their suites unattended.
